RF Micro Devices, Inc., a global leader in the design and high performance RF components and compound semiconductor manufacturing technologies, has announced the availability of a new family of VCOs stratified based on cellular infrastructure and other applications of high performance wireless transceivers.

The new family of products at RFMD RFVC975x of experience in design and manufacture of low phase noise VCO discrete and owner of Micro Shield RFMD RF Shielding Technology and the level of top RFMD multi-chip module laminate (MCM integrated).

The family offers RFVC975x phase noise, meets or exceeds the requirements of 2G, 3G, 4G (LTE and WiMAX), wireless base stations.
Compared with the current generation of monolithic VCO, the VCO family RFVC975x laminate gives the phase noise and low power consumption, reduce energy consumption and thermal control of the base station. The RFVC975x is also 75% less than the modules of the current signal, and provides the same performance with low phase noise, the satisfaction of the trend towards smaller sizes of the radio base stations and micro remote head.

RFVC975x family is a flexible platform, the quick-turn solutions for measuring the frequency and output power. This solution provides flexibility, performance and power consumption of the VCO modules, with the advantage of the size of the monolithic VCO. As the wireless infrastructure migrated to the heads of radio remote control and distributed base stations, systems designers are increasingly looking for solutions, the development of the reader. To encourage family of products VCO VCO advantage RFVC975x RFMD Laminate Product Leadership and core competitive advantages, measurable progress in key performance categories of size, weight and power consumption.
